The device is secure but you need to use a chest harness on your dog not a neck collar.
Perfect for our 7 pound Yorkie.Easy to install. Padded head rest.Has 4 straps that wrap around the console lid and two that attach to the head rests on either side. A built in restraint to attach to your dogs harness.It is not advisable to connect to a neck collar in the event of an emergency stop or collision a chest harness is the safer choice.

Great for traveling
He used to be in our laps but as you can see, he loves to ride in his seat. This is much safer & more comfortable for everyone. We can give him water, food & treats on the road without wearing it now. Be aware that if not held back by the safety clip, they can reach into the cup holders & get their own snacks lolIt’s a bit of a pain to put in the first few times but once you get a system down it’s not bad. The elastic has stretched out pretty quick but that’s an easy fix.Highly recommend this for traveling with smaller pets. Bax is +/- 12 lbs

Dog console seat
I like the item. I have a Schnauzer about 13 lbs. I have a Forester Subaru. It installed easily. My dog cannot jump into it yet , but he easily sits in the seat without the pillows. I like the fact that he’s safe cause he loves to sit on the rest between the seats

Cute but pad doesn’t fit
This is super cute, and my dog enjoys lying in it. The company changed the straps that go around the console to be Velcro, so it is more secure. Unfortunately, the pad that sits on the bottom is too big to fit in the bottom. I reached out to the company about this, and they said it is not needed for the car seat to work.

It works
Our Yorkie loves this thing. He can see whatâs going on as he rides in the car. We have a 2016 Kia soul. Only problem is we had to add a non-slip mat underneath it to keep it from sliding around, obviously. Also, the surface that it sits on is not quite large enough. We had a travel mug that no one used that we put in the cupholder. Thatâs the perfect height to hold up the front end of it if that makes sense. Been using it a lot for a month and itâs holding up well.

If fits comfortably on arm rest, size is just right for a small Yorkie. Light weight. Has straps to retain dog in case and additional straps to hold in place by attaching to head rest bars.

We have a full-size pickup, and the straps to attach under the console lid are too short, and we needed to use string to lengthen. The plastic hooks that are provided are very light as well.
