This book provides any church an opportunity to plan, strategize, evaluate, and refine their discipleship, and more specifically, their family ministry plan. Ron Hunter begins the book sharing vital philosophy necessary to understand before a leader can move on to strategy built on the foundation of Deuteronomy 6. He also shares important principles such as the one-eared Mickey Mouse, the senior pastor complex, and the unseen staff member that will lead to implementation. This book is the ideal resource whether a ministry leader is just beginning in family ministry or has an established program needing refinement. Readers will be able to build on the foundation of a timeless philosophy to disciple the next generation.

This book on Generational Discipleship is a GAMECHANGER for every Pastor, Parent, and Grandparent!
The subtitle to this book is – Building Blocks of Generational Discipleship. I have not been a customer to date of the D6 Curriculum, but now that I understand the DNA of D6 – I am a raving fan. I love the way that Ron Hunter uses AMAZING word pictures to walk me through the reasons why creating a culture of generational discipleship is a game changer both in my life and in my church. It makes it easy for any Pastor, Children’s Pastor or Family Pastor – to lead their congregation and their leadership teams – to an understanding of the most effective way to choose the curriculum that will provide a solid biblical base simultaneously for every age bracket in an extended family. Kudos for making it so easy to understand and for providing the knowledge base that will help me help others as I dedicate my life to serving others. I recommend it highly to any Pastor, Parent, and Grandparent – who wants to lead with a curriculum developed for the entire family!

Gets to the heart of family discipleship
Ron Hunter is a leader in the D6 movement bringing family discipleship to the forefront of church ministry around the globe. In The DNA of D6, he not only makes the case for Deuteronomy 6 being the blueprint for intergenerational faith formation, but gives extremely practical advice for how any size church can begin to D6 their ministries. Whether your congregation is large enough to have multiple staff positions or is a smaller congregation with mostly volunteers, this book can begin to transform how discipleship can return to the home in partnership with the local church.

A Guide To Growth
As I read this book I learned ways to implement growth in not just myself and my family, but all areas of my life. I can and will some of the methods introduced in this book to grow my family, my church, my job. A practical guide for any leader based on biblical beliefs.

Discipling Generations
This book organizes ministry thoughts into clear chapters that fully equip church leaders to be prepared to transition from individual ministry to generational discipleship. The illustrations alone are worth the cost, not to mention the tools & encouragement this book provides on top of that!

Good book to understand about D6 in particular
There are other books out there about family ministry that describes the ministry better, but if you looking to adopt D6 this would be the book for you
