Then I Met You Cleansing Tonic, fragrance free, alcohol free & cruelty free, made in Korea
This Then I Met You brand Living Sea Cleansing Tonic has a lightweight, watery texture and comes in a tall frosted translucent pale blue bottle. It both cleanses and tones in one step, leaving skin brighter and smoother. It is best paired with oil cleanser to remove all traces of sunscreen and makeup, but is effective enough to remove eye makeup on its own. It’s fragrance free and alcohol free, and the pH is slightly acidic. It doesn’t leave any residue. If you have a multi-step skincare routine, this cleansing tonic/toner comes in after you’ve used oil-based cleanser, but before applying additional hydrating toner, serum/face masks or lotion/cream.The ingredients contain Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract for brightening, hyaluronic acid for moisture retention, and aloe for soothing. The bottle comes hygienically sealed with foil. It’s made in Korea and the ingredients are printed on the outer box, but not the bottle. It is Leaping Bunny cruelty free certified. There is no best by or expiration date on the bottle or the box, but the PAO is 12 months. The ingredients are:Sea Water, Butylene Glycol, Propanediol, 1,2-Hexanediol, Glycerin, PEG-6 Caprylic/Capric Glycerides, Betaine, Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel) Water, Ethylhexylglycerin, Water, Sodium Phytate, Polyglutamic Acid, Tocopheryl Acetate, Undaria Pinnatifida Extract, Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Water, Carica Papaya (Papaya) Fruit Water, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Malachite Extract, Chenopodium Quinoa Seed Extract, Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Root Extract, Hippophae Rhamnoides Fruit Extract, Carica Papaya (Papaya) Fruit Extract, Diospyros Kaki Fruit Extract, Pentylene Glycol, Tocopherol, Magnesium Aspartate, Zinc Gluconate, Acer Rubrum Bark Extract, Sodium Hyaluronate, Carica Papaya (Papaya) Leaf Extract, Copper Gluconate, Beta-Glucan, Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid, Glutamic Acid, Wheat Amino Acids, Oat Amino Acids, Caprylyl Glycol, Sodium Acetylated Hyaluronate

It’s not bad, just not for me
I really like the aesthetic of this brand, the feel of it being sort of ocean-like or just water-like. It has no scent whatsoever and feels nice and hydrating on the skin. The only problem I have with it is it leaves a tacky residue and I just hate that in facial care products. I thought maybe I used too much but I used just a tiny amount and it still left a slightly tacky residue, it makes me want to wash my face again. Like I said before though, I don’t think it’s a bad tonic…It’s just not for me.
Hi. :) –
My favorite toner right now.
I can’t say what exactly had me attracted to this toner to try it, because it was a mix of everything.I love the name brand, the pretty look of the bottle, and the fantastic ingredients.I use lots of skincare, but I’ve only recently started using toners. So far, most of them have been underwhelming.”So far”. I love this one!First I want to say that the packaging was just as cute in person as it looks online. I love the beautiful colors and the bottle feels like a really thick plastic. (Did I mention I love the name brand as well?)The ingredients in this toner are absolutely fantastic. I’m not going to list everything because they’re on the product’s page, but some of the heroes are 86% deep sea water, papaya enzymes, licorice root, etc. I love that it’s vegan and doesn’t have alcohol, silicones, etc. There is no smell to this toner. I generally prefer a scent, but I don’t mind the absence because my other products usually smell nice.I first tried this by itself, with no creams or any moisturizers over it, just to see how my skin reacts to it. I washed my face with warm water and a washcloth, then applied this. It absorbed quickly and left my skin feeling wonderful. I think it’s the first toner I’ve ever tried that actually left my skin feeling soft and smooth, as if I applied a lightweight moisturizer. There was no tightness or dry spots – just wonderfully hydrated skin.I now use it regularly as a part of my skincare routine. At $32, this toner is in the pricier side, but absolutely worth its cost. I would recommend it in a heartbeat and I would try any other products from this brand.:)

Nice Tonic
This then I met you cleansing tonic comes packaged nicely in a light blue bottle which looks nice. Something about a light blue bottle makes me think light and clean. I used this the first time as a makeup remover but, I feel like this works best using as a toner. When I poured about two tablespoons onto a cotton cloth and rubbed it onto my face and cleansed with water, it left my face feeling clean. It has no scent whatsoever and did not leave any residue or dry out my face. I think it is great as a basic cleanser. My only problem with this is the price point. I took away 2 stars for that. I will not repurchase because of the high price. Hope you find my review helpful.
