Having an extra car seat base makes things so much easier. Anytime we can keep the baby in the carrier and just click into the base or the stroller and not transfer out of the carrier and wake baby up, is a win. Easy to install, and if you have trouble, you can always find easy YouTube tutorials.

I had a car seat technician install my UPPAbaby Mesa car seat bases though with the step-by-step instructions I felt I could do it myself.
