Absolutely love these! They work perfectly and look great. Today we had 20+mph winds, great opportunity to try them out!! Size is not bulky. We purchased 2 sets of 10lb each (40lbs per set, probably too much but we donât need to worry about the canopy taking a flight). Donât know how durable they will be but with care and no dropping them it appears they will last a long time! Highly recommend them!!!

Very Effective
I use mine as a base and then put rock into the provided bags that came with my canopy. Those filled bags sit nicely on top of these, to give it that extra weight and keep it in place. They are sturdy, better than the ones you buy to fill with water, and while heavy to pack around, absolutely worth it. I purchased these because I have a canopy on a deck and no way to anchor into the ground, but even if I did, I would still use these.

Very Sturdy But Doesn’t Quite Fit
First of all, these could so easily be a 5-Star product because they are sturdy and with the interlocking design work great. Being already filled with cement makes them far superior to having to fill them with water or sand myself. No mess, no hassle, no leaking – just pull them out of the box and put them down.The ONLY problem I have is the size of the slot in them. If you have a patio umbrella then you know you have to have a base with it, typically a weighted base. We get strong wind here in Idaho that can give your umbrella to one of your neighbors in a heartbeat so a weighted base is essential but usually not enough to keep the umbrella from tipping over. So I got these, confident they would be perfect. And they nearly were. As you can see from the picture, they fit the umbrella but NOT the weighted base. I’m going to try them out for a few weeks to see if the weights are low enough to keep the umbrella upright. The weights are as low as I can get them, as the shaft of the base is very slightly larger than the slot of the weights. The manufacturer should have made it another 1/2″ wider in anticipation of someone using a base instead of using just these weights as the base (probably what the manufacturer intended but a decorative base looks nicer). The 2nd picture shows the umbrella without the nice 25lbs weighted base, it doesn’t look as nice as with the base. I was hoping to use the two together for extra weight and stability because just the disc weights alone with their much smaller ground contact makes the umbrella a little bit wobbly so not sure how it will handle the wind. I will report back in a bit to update this review to see if the 40lbs is enough or not.

Work with ABCcanopy tents
Shipping was great. Everything arrived intact. We use them for outdoor craft fairs. 40lbs a foot, a bit overkill but I’d rather it be too much and very secure in the wind than risk the tent and product. They nest well. We reinforced the shipping box with cut carboard sheets and white reinforced tape and use that to transport them. A bit more manageable and compact than the 2 gallon buckets with cement and eye-bolts we had been using.We started with the sand filled ones. Tried a few different brands, they were fragile and tore or they never held the weight claimed. Moved to concrete buckets. They were heavy and durable but a bit clunky when it came to packing the car for events. These are small, dense, travel well and free up space in the car when transporting them. They also look nicer and more professional to the customer. Buy once and cry once, we should have bit the bullet to start with and gotten these.

Compact and Convenient
I’m looking forward to using these weights on a tent that will be on a paved surface. The carrying strap will be handy for transporting them (follow the detailed instructions), which will be much easier to transport and use than sandbags â plus they’re waterproof! In addition to a great product, it’s a bonus that the store is a woman-owned business that provides work opportunities for people with disabilities.
