Decent A-frame Cabin Set!
This is such a cute idea! There a pros and cons to getting off brand bricks like these. The block quality and instructions just aren’t the same as the name brand. My 14yr son sat down to build this and while he’s able to figure out the instructions, my 8yr old daughter struggled a little.Pros: Cute Idea. Lots of fun details and extras to create a fun little cabin!Cons: SOOOOO many 1×1 pieces!! My son’s fingers hurt after a while. The bricks are harder to snap together and with soooo many little tiny pieces, it takes forever to build. The colors are….lacking. I get the orange, brown, tan theme but it’s very 60s and dated. As long as you know that going in, it’s not so bad. I wasn’t expected it to be such a bright orange, I guess.Overall, it’s a cute build. They are kind of compatible with name brand but not the best of fits. It works for my kids who don’t really care because it’s fun to pay with but they care enough not to mix the sets because this one is harder to snap pieces together.

Really cool design
This set looks so cool! The pieces come grouped inside numbered bags that match the steps in the instructions, so it’s easy to find the pieces you need. But the sheer quantity of pieces (1,800!) and thickness of the instructional book (223 pages!) seems like a lot for an 8 year old.

Cute build, but some issues
This is an adorable little cabin, and was overall pretty fun to build. There were a few issues though. The blocks didn’t always fit together easily, so it took some pressure to connect them. There were a few missing or incorrect pieces, fortunately I was able to supplement with my spares from other sets, but it’s worth noting. Also, the directions called for stickers to be stuck on after their pieces were installed, it probably would have been easier to put them on earlier. That said, the directions were mostly clear, there are a lot of really cute details, the lights are a fun touch (and not just a strand of fairy lights like in some builds), and the end result is really charming. 🙂

Decent quality pieces, age recommendation is too young
First off, this set isn’t suitable for kids under 10 to 12 years, if they are to complete it on their own. It’s organized into 24 numbered bags, totaling 1800 pieces. The plastic is smooth, evenly formed, and I’ve found no breakage or areas with excess bits of plastic. All of the pieces have rich, uniform coloring and an orange tool is included. The instruction guide is 62 pages, and has the paper quality of high-end magazines. It doesn’t have any wording or directives other than the 223 graphic image steps, which it jumps right into on page one. It’s in colors that are similar to the real pieces, but it’s very computer graphic looking and a little hard to relate to some of the smaller details. There’s no parts inventory, which a large set like this should have, but each step shows the pieces required to complete it. There’s also a small sticker sheet that is applied at various points throughout the assembly, and not all at the end. You must pay attention to crooked squares with the sticker numbers in them showing up in certain steps. The design of this set is full of details and I like that it can be a playhouse after it’s assembled. This makes a great gift for older builders, or as a team effort with a younger child as the assistant.

Creative fun for all ages! A fantastic building experience with charming LED lights.
If you ever wanted to feel like a cross between Bob the Builder and a forest gnome, this TGL TYCOLE A Frame Cabin Building Blocks Set is your ticket to woodland paradise! With 1800 pieces, I thought I was building a cozy treehouse, but I might have accidentally created a mini version of a luxury resortâcomplete with LED lights that make it look like the party never stops, even in the forest. My kids were initially skeptical, but after a few hours of assembling, they were convinced we were the new architects of the family. Now, instead of arguing over who gets to play with the remote, we argue over who gets to flip the LED switch on our newfound cabinâwho knew building could be this much fun and spark so much sibling rivalry?

Beautiful Build with Minor Setback
This A-Frame Cabin Building Blocks Set turned out to be a truly beautiful model once completed. The attention to detail in the design is impressive, and it made for a relaxing and engaging project. From the roof structure to the little finishing touches on the interior, itâs clear that this set was crafted with care. Once built, it looks stunning on display; definitely one of those sets that feels more like a piece of décor than just a toy or model. The quality of the bricks themselves is very good; they fit together nicely and hold firm without being difficult to work with. The instructions were fairly easy to follow, and the flow of the build made sense from start to finish. Itâs definitely a rewarding experience for anyone who enjoys building block kits, and especially perfect for fans of rustic or nature-themed builds. The only reason Iâm giving this four stars instead of five is because my set was missing a few small pieces near the end. Luckily, nothing critical was missing, so I was able to work around it without compromising the final look too much. Still, it wouldâve been nice if all the parts were accounted for right out of the box. That said, Iâd still recommend this set overall, itâs a lovely build and adds a cozy, outdoorsy charm wherever you decide to display it.

Nothing to do with STEM, this is a toy
This is for “TGL TYCOLE A Frame Cabin Building Blocks Set with LED Lights,1800Pcs”Price at review time: $59.99 before 30% off coupon.Manual has 62 pages covering 223 assembly steps. Does not have a master parts listing nor show how to use the helper tool. Orange colored helper tool is by itself in its own bag. May need to use a magnifier to examine steps as the manual is small (8″ x 6”). Manual could have been larger given the size of the box. There is a sheet of stickers inside the manual (mine were in between the last two pages). At the start of each partial assembly, the assembly is shown with a number (e.g. 1, 2, 3), which refers to the number on bags.Takes a while to assemble due to small pieces.
