Phenomenal protection; explicitly states IPad mini 7 which is nice.
Finding a case that clearly states it fits the iPad Mini 7 (2024) is surprisingly difficult. Most listings only mention compatibility with earlier generations or vaguely reference “new models.” This one stood out because it explicitly confirms it’s made for the Mini 7—and it fits perfectly.Installation was easy: the hard plastic shell snaps directly onto the iPad, and then the whole assembly slides into the outer rubber-like shell. The material feels like a dense foam-rubber blend—lightweight but shock-absorbent. So far, it’s held up well to toddler-level abuse, including the occasional “angry chuck.”The handle doubles as a stand and is just the right size for small hands to grip and carry. It’s lightweight, well-designed, and offers solid protection. At $17.99, it’s hard to beat—especially when similar cases run $40 or more and still don’t guarantee Mini 7 compatibility. If you’re looking for a dependable, kid-friendly case and need one that actually fits the 2024 Mini, this is a great buy.

Great protection, but missed design opportunities
This device sure protects an expensive iPad mini 6 or 7 very well from heavy duty (ab)use by children. It looks neat, has a great grip, and the handle can be used as a stand. So far so good. There are, however, several missed design opportunities. iPad mini 6 and 7 take full advantage of the latest Apple Pen generation to write and draw, and it gets charged by sticking it magnetically to the side of the iPad – there is no cutout for the pen, so not only does the pen have to be carried around separately, but in order to charge it you need to pop out and back in the iPad several times a week, which is pretty stressful on the materials involved. Also, the front frame has a protective plastic film glued to it which does protect the iPad, but it’s not exactly anti-glare, and also sits somewhat wobbly on the screen which leads to distorted reflections (see photos). It would have been smarter and more cost-effective to produce by simply including a replaceable anti-glare tempered glass screen protector that gets installed to the screen with much better result – I will likely remove or cut out the film that’s part of what I have received and use my own protector.Lastly, a few small wholes on the back would probably a good idea to help keep the iPad from overheating.

Works well so far.
Nice case seems durable and the colors are bright and fun. Overall its been a great case to protect our ipad from the toddlers wrath. A plus for the kick stand.
