I like the look and feel of this mat. It’s wide and heavy which I prefer. My only complaint is that I did slip a bit in some longer poses in comparison to my rubber mat.

Very high quality!
This is an extremely durable and high quality mat. It is also surprisingly comfortable. When I used it, I felt very stable on it. The surface of it is very grippy which is great if you usually slip and slide when doing yoga poses or working out. I’ve never used such a nice mat before. I really like it. It’s the first time I’ve worked out where I felt a real connection to the ground beneath my feet. I knew I wasn’t going to fall if my hands were sweaty and I wouldn’t have to readjust positions from sliding around.The only downsides are that because it is so grippy, it’s not easy to slide from one position to the next. I use my mat to do postpartum workouts a lot and that means a ton of heel slide outs. That’s impossible on this mat. I have to pick my feet up and place them instead. I also can’t slide my legs from one side to the other to switch positions. I have to physically get up. Also, this mat is harder on my knees than my old one. My old mat is a much thicker, foam type material so that would be the reason for that. If you have knee issues though and need more padding or a more gentle mat to support them, this would not be the mat for you.All in all, this mat is excellent! I highly recommend it! I’d say it’s well worth the cost. It comes with a high quality canvas carrying bag and Velcro straps that cinch around the mat when rolled up. It makes transportation and storage very convenient. I love it!

Too Thin
So I really like the material because it’s non-slip and definitely non-tear. It’s really sturdy and it feels great on the feet. My only complaint is the mat itself is pretty thin. And we use it on marble tile floors, so it’s a little hard on the knees so I’m having to put a thicker mat underneath it. It definitely doesn’t slip and grips the floor well. It also stays just fine on the thicker mat that I already had. I really like the color of it as well. Really soothing. I will say that there’s a pretty strong odor. Hopefully it will go away with time. It also came really nicely, packaged up in a canvas travel bag and there’s also leather hooks to carry it loose as well. So all in all a great mat, but probably needs to have another one lay underneath.

A great yoga mat but a questionable price increase
UPDATE (04/25): This yoga mat price has risen significantly in the last few months. Unsure if tariff related but the current sale price increased by fifteen dollars! Buyer beware and do the math.Yoga mats are personal and individual. In light of this, it is an incredibly stable mat, and the materials used are high quality. Important to note it is a heavy mat. It’s extremely grippy, which means moving to and from one position to another may not provide an easy transition. However, if part of your practice is extra stability, you may appreciate the security this material provides. Especially if your palms get sweaty or if hot yoga is your preferred practice. The material is a bit tougher on my knees than my other mat. You may need additional padding to support them. The canvas bag for carrying and the Velcro straps to secure the rolled up mat are nice touches for ease and convenience of carrying, transport and storage. Overall, I recommend it.

Excellent Yoga Mat
This mat is large enough for a man to use and thick enough for comfort. I like the color also. There was no strong odor and it rolls up easily for storage. Great choice!

This is a very heavy mat. It has a carrying case, but it would be heavy to cart to class. I like the extra width and non-slip surface.
