Customers say
Customers find the yoga towel well-made and appreciate its absorbency during hot yoga classes, with one noting it soaks up well during practice. The towel is soft and comfortable to use, fits perfectly over yoga mats, and works well in hot yoga classes. They like its color options and consider it good value for money, with one mentioning it’s a good alternative to more expensive towels like Shandali GoSweat. The slipperiness receives mixed feedback – while some say it stays in place extremely well, others report it moves around a lot on the mat.

I sweat a lot (understatement), and slip easy – this solved it
So, I’m first to admit I’m a disgusting sweaty mess when I exercise or work out. No hiding it. I’m the worst of anyone I know, by far. You don’t even understand, man.Doesn’t matter how little effort I exert, I start sweating pretty quickly (thankfully I don’t have bad BO – I swear!). Needless to say the whole Bikram/Heated Yoga thing makes it 10x worse, and as such was a TERRIBLE experience for me the first time. I went prepared with a $20 mat I purchased from a random convenience store and a small face towel, and I literally had water *streaming* off of my shirt onto my mat for most of the class. I’ve never seen sweat hold a constant stream… like, what the hell? NOT FAIRMy entire mat was engulfed in a puddle that was encroaching on my neighbor’s space (oops), and I couldn’t so much as plant my feet at 30′ angle without slipping. Pretty embarrassing, and disgusting, and sad. The paper towels laughed at me, and were futile.Sure, everyone in a class like that class sweats a good amount, but I seriously sweat more than the next 6-7 people (AT LEAST) combined. I would’ve liked to pretend that this all never happened, and that I could honestly swear I would never step foot in another heated class again, but I had 9 classes remaining on my deal and actually enjoyed the class otherwise. Further, is all of the ‘advanced’ classes were heated, and that was what I liked the most. So, after a fair amount of amazon searching and reading, I decided on this purchase – and it is a WORLD of difference. This mat handled the deluge of sweat from a class, and kept the mat underneath it in reasonable shape. No puddles on the mat or the floor; just some minor moisture. Further, is it never got slippery, at all. If anything my grip got better as it got wetter, somehow (though it does recommend some moisture for best results). But seriously, I can’t even fathom how this thing absorbed 95% of the sweat. I rang it out after the class, and out flooded enough water on the pavement to fill a bucket. The puddle was like the circumference of a mini-cooper. I’m not joking around when I say I sweat a lot. It was disgusting, but hey, no one knew about it but me this time! The thing had to of had around 10lbs of water in it.Ok, so, don’t mean to gross everyone out but I just wanted to emphasize how awesome a job this towel did. I fully recommend it.Oh, and it fit my mat perfectly, and didn’t move or have to get readjusted much at all. Feels nice too. Customer service is also excellent and very personal.Though, honestly everything else could’ve been terrible and I still would’ve been super happy to not have to worry about slipping, falling, and splashing the entire class with the puddle I land in. Great product.

A very good towel for the money.
In all honesty, I ordered the gray towel with green stitching and got the blue towel. That’s annoying but I don’t really care. I’m assuming that all the towels function identically regardless of their color. This towel is a pretty standard microfiber cloth that has been cut into the dimensions of a yoga mat (although my Manduka Black mat is slightly wider). If you’ve ever used microfiber rags to wash a car or do general cleaning then you know what to expect. There’s nothing wrong with that but it’s not exactly groundbreaking stuff. I’ve added the Youphoria to my stable of towels which include the Manduka, Gaiam, and YogaRat brands. I’ve used Yogitoes before, as well. The Mandukas are the best. This towel will never be mistaken for a Manduka and anyone who thinks so probably doesn’t really need a towel. Of course, the Mandukas are much more expensive so this isn’t surprising. This towel needs to be compared to Gaiam and Yogarat. Compared to those two it is an excellent towel. It’s pretty comfortable to lay on if you open class with a savasana. It’s a lightweight towel so I expected it to slide around a lot even when saturated with sweat. However, it stays in place pretty well throughout class. Most hot yoga classes start with standing postures before moving to the floor so the towel is soaked by the time you really test its grip-strength. Speaking of being soaked, this towel absorbs a surprising amount of sweat. It doesn’t overflow with sweat like Gaiam and Yogarat (really, the Yogarat Mat Towel is terrible – the hand towels are nice, though). With those two when I roll up my mat/towel to exit the studio my sweat is pouring out – and no, I’m not rolling my mat too tightly. The Youphoria towel held on to the sweat so I didn’t leave a trail of puddles in my wake. Very cool. All in all, this towel is better than its similarly-priced competitors. I’d tell a friend to buy one. If you are wanting to try a proper yoga towel this is a good place to start. I’m giving it four stars because it just doesn’t feel like a 5-star product. It’s a very good product for the money and I’m pleased to own it but it doesn’t move me to think “Great”. I suspect it’s because an old roommate of mine always had these cheap microfiber dishrags in the kitchen and it reminds me of those.

Does the job but collects fuzzies
I like these towels I have two. The only complaints is they attract fuzzies and other lint. I donât love that. But they do soak up well in a hot yoga class.

Great towel for yoga
I bought this for hot yoga and this towel is great for it. It is thin enough to put directly over my mat. It is great quality and was not expensive.

Perfect fit to my Manduka yoga mat
My first yoga mat was the Manduka pro but I bought a Liforme mat because the former gets slippery when I sweat during more intense yoga sessions. Though I love my Liforme mat, I want to alternate it with my Manduka. This towel was recommended by a hot yoga practitioner and I thought this would suffice for my Ashtanga class as well. I just tried this a few days ago and I was so amazed how it fitted perfectly with my mat. No more sweaty and slippery mats! I love it so much I have to buy two more in different colors!

I go to hot yoga almost every day, this towel is perfect for it. I place it over my mat and it helps prevent me from sliding all over the place, it also absorbs all the sweat and water which is great because it keeps my actual yoga mat clean. I wash it and itâs ready for the next use. I highly recommend.

Great towel for the price. Grippers on the back would make it even better!
